Offensive Techniques: - Attack Technique [Bloom Displaces Boulder] (Immortal Grade Loose Cultivator Free Technique 40pts) -A single straight punch that surrounds the user's arm in Wood qi before striking with an unnatural speed and strength, mimicking the power of a sapling exploding into a mighty cherry blossom in under a second. - Attack Technique [Crushing Gale Shute] (Mortal Grade Fist Free Technique) -A cross between a close and ranged attack, by expanding on [Bloom Displaces Boulder]'s basic mechanics of enshrouding the user's arm in wood qi energy, this variation can launch the energy out as a fine beam containing a similar might as it launches whatever it strikes over an even further distance. - Barrage technique [Instant Forest Blooms] (Immortal Grade Immortal Scripture Technique 2) -A violent technique focused on wreathing one's entire body in wood qi energy before expending it to strike the opponent multiple times in a rush attack, delivering crippling blows in quick succession. Defensive Techniques: - Barrier Technique [Peaceful Leaves Shade] (Immortal Grade Immortal Scripture Technique 3) -A simple, yet well regarded defensive technique that covers a wide area with the user's qi, creating a bubble of energy that, while noticeable, can block most attempts at assault and if reinforced, entry, while a technique like this is often quite draining, due to the simplicity of the technique it can be easily used alongside a cultivation technique to create more fuel for said technique, expanding it's longevity and usefulness. - Endurance technique [The Reed That Bends] (Mortal Grade Free Fist Technique) -A technique often mistaken for a Reversal technique, as the title of the techniques says, this technique is more about withstanding and adapting to an opponent's attacks, and, if utilised properly can actually draw out an opponent's energy to strengthen the user's defence, though to utilise it in such a way requires a fine mastery of it. Movement Techniques: - Footwork Technique [Petals In The Wind] (Mortal Grade Free Loose Cultivator Technique) -This Technique focuses more so on being unpredictable as opposed to actual speedy movement, it accomplishes this by expelling a burst of spiritual energy to distract the opponent's senses as one makes a quick dodge, this technique while quite useful and unorthodox in most cases has a short shelf-life unfortunately, as if an opponent has a stronger spiritual awareness they can simply detect the user. - Travelling Technique [Seeds Finding Fertile Ground] (Mortal Grade 30pts) -The Technique begins by making the user progressively weightless, until with a burst of qi they are able to launch themselves on a gale of wind, effectively flying, or if less qi is used, sliding along the earth at impressive speeds. Auxiliary Techniques: - Profession Technique [Drop Of Knowledge Passes From Leaf To Leaf] (Immortal Grade Immortal Scripture Technique 4) -The most important Technique of the [Sunrise Praising Flower Tao], and the key to it's longevity, alongside every scroll is this incredible technique, a simple series of runes placed upon the four corners of each page that when witnessed allow one instant knowledge of how to understand and how to properly perform what is written upon the scroll, and the knowledge of how to implement this technique upon other such pages, this technique, while immeasurably useful, is restricted to only work on scrolls and manuals written and understood by the one writing them, as they only pass along the knowledge of the one who wrote them, as such, one can't abuse this technique to instantly understand an ancient Technique by simply placing the seals upon another's page (In Effect, Can create scrolls, tomes and easily transfer their skills via them to other characters if they possess the right materials). - Detection Technique [Finding Grace] (Mortal Grade 20pts) -A most basic, yet necessary skill for any would be cultivator, the skill allows one, through momentary meditation to discover and discern magical qualities in various substances, allowing one to easily sniff out powerful materials to better build and craft with, seen as a profession focused cultivator's dearest gift, this skill is well sought out. Advantages: - Perks: Overflowing Charisma, Blessed Relations(10pts) - Talent: Good Fortune (0pts) - Fate: [Proliferation] - "I have strange dreams of a great Library laying within an evergreen jungle, it's halls endless, it's shelves lined with texts and tomes the like I was gifted by those passing masters, standing within it's centre was a mighty feathered beast, alone and adorned in black. The creature's look was forlorn until it spread it's wings. and from it's growing span people began to emerge from the darkness of it's feathers, each glowing with a beautiful qi, I could scarcely make them out as the beast's wingspan grew wider and wider, and yet more and more people stepped forward from it's wings. It was only then I realized the darkness of the creature was ebbing away, overcome with the rainbow of colours these people shone with, their collective beauty was undeniable, and in unison, they arose into a violent and graceful display of skill and technique. I would always awake from that dream at the point of eruption, and it was then I knew I would have to find this place, and learn it's many cultivators." ~Dong Fuai, on his reasons to leave the Battlefields of the Warlords Bio: One of the many foolish upstarts created by the [Sunrise Praising Flowers]' wanton gifting of cultivation texts, Dong Fuai was born and raised amidst the waning eras of the Immortal Empire's second war, a destructive endeavour that would pillage the lands for many materials and see the populations of most towns rendered into mere essence for pill crafting. Born to a vagrant group of wandering healers, Dong Fuai was able to see much of the war-torn lands from an early age, while this setting might bring down the spirits of a lesser man, Dong Fuai remained quite joyful, and sought to make the sick and dying that his family helped laugh with his antics and small games he played. This unfortunately had him labelled a "Fool Child" that would clearly not follow in the well learned footsteps of his parents, and indeed that would be the case, just not in the way that was expected. [Silly Mischief]: During the aftermath of the massacre of a local town, Dong Fuai would stumble upon an old woman weeping over a collapsed house, seeking to draw the woman from the place of destruction and her own dour mood, he would attempt to engage her in a simple game of hide and seek, which the old lady initially refused, though through some focused pestering he was able to coerce her into the game. Slowly letting the old woman find him as he went closer to where his parents were tending to the survivors, Dong Fuai would be found just before tricking the woman into the group of survivors, at which point she declared it her turn, and that he would have to find her, and, agreeing that it was only fair, Dong Fuai would attempt to find the woman. Surprisingly stealthy, the woman was able to deftly avoid Dong Fuai, eventually leading him back to the collapsed home, and through a series of bad decisions, he would enter the collapsed building finding the old woman digging out a series of scrolls from the now raw earth. With a sombre smile on her face the woman would gift Dong Fuai one of these scrolls, commenting that it was a thank you gift for reminding the woman that "There are still those who want to bring smiles to the world" before leaving with him to join the other survivors. While reluctant to take the gift, Dong Fuai would eventually accept the woman's gift, though his parents would admonish him for taking from a clearly destitute victim, they would ease off when the woman came to the boy's defence. [Immortal Scriptures]: Dong Fuai would later read the scroll that night, it's contents quickly burning into his mind as the light of the words jumped off the page to embed themselves into his mind, thus awakening him to the art of cultivation, and to the dream that would haunt his future. [Battlefield Brother]: Having learned what he could from the scroll, and seemingly unable to find the old woman, Dong Fuai would seek to join the [Mortal Empire Of The Cobalt Crane] to better expand and harness his abilities, it was through his training here he would meet Luan Xiao, an expert in [Igniting Stone Tao] Cultivation. Together the two would form a strong bond, and seek to expand their cultivation knowledge, only to often end up in trouble, and promptly face the ire of their elders, their antics would hamper their learning yet this did not lead to their separation. Eventually their skills and fighting style would begin to more readily compliment each other's, which, when finally noticed, would have them placed on the battlefield, namely a series of skirmishes between the [Mortal Empire Of The Cobalt Crane] and the [Mortal Empire Of The Black Sun]. The war itself was a reminder of Dong Fuai's past, but did little to dampen his spirit, a blessing that he was with Luan Xiao in that case, as both sought to raise the other's spirits in such dark times, their joy was even an effective tool in combat, as they terrorized their enemies with their less then serious antics, which would often draw strategic enemy forces to them. The war would eventually end with a stalemate, caused by the Cobalt Crane's overreaching and weakening of their own supply lines and the successive defeats suffered by the Black Sun, the two would return to their places amidst the Empire, but would be overlooked for further advancement in their cultivations, a pain that would lead to a painful separation. [Former Taoist Sibling]: Disatisfied with the stagnation of his Cultivation's development, Dong Fuai would seek to leave the Empire, and to further follow a series of strange dreams he'd had since his induction into the world of cultivation. Knowing that there would be no easy way to leave, and that he would likely be labled a traitor if he did, Dong Fuai would attempt to escape the empire in secret, though not without attempting to persuade Luan Xiao to follow him, only to be rebuffed and asked to remain instead, but Dong Fuai would not be coerced, and would elect to leave, offering Luan Xiao a tearful goodbye and an oath that should they ever meet again, regardless of circumstances, he would not harm his sworn brother. With a tearful farewell of his own, Luan Xiao would turn his back on Dong Fuai, as the latter would escape into the night, never to return to the realm of mortal empires. After many a year of travelling, Dong Fuai would finally stumble upon what he believes to be a map to a great Library, perhaps the one from his dreams, he does not know, what he does know is that he may be finally reaching his goal, and that he may finally begin to study and teach his sect's techniques again.
