As you walk through the port town, you notice a large crowd gathered around one of the Bulletin boards, as you use your elven grace, swiftly moving past them, you see a job listing that pays upfront 25 gold coins, this takes you back as that's enough to live like a noble for 5 years. Then reading further you see why, as it's a god involving the hunting of monsters, strong ones by the looks on the faces of those around, but you find the meeting location is at Dock 25, so you head there to apply. On the way you order a basket of Fish and chips from one of the many vendor stalls, as you wouldn't want to embarrass yourself by coming to it on an empty stomach, as you eat and walk you look out to the ocean, feeling the breeze and seeing a castle on the waters, this is unusual as there was no castle there yesterday. But you dismiss this as one of the Merfolk kingdom ships coming to port, where this is reinforced by the sight of Goblins, Aquatic Beastlings, and Lumianti moving around Dock 25, bringing goods to the floating castle by walking upon the water. You walk over to the Lumianti that's standing by a sign bearing the same Crest as the Job listing and where all the other adventures and mercenaries are around, only to be handed a contract the moment you get close, with the Lumianti flashing a warm smile, as you see a large scale across their neck. Looking through the contract, it's pretty standard for this kind of work, as food, drink, medical services, and lodging are provided, you can't be prejudiced against monsters or Demi-Humans, something that isn't going to affect them considering the recruiters, then the Contract is for 5 years with another 50 gold being paid out once it's over or you can sign up again for more money. You sign the contract and hand it over to the Lumianti, who create a copy using magic and hand it to you before signing that they'll depart in an hour. So you go and start talking to the others that signed, adventures and mercenaries needing money quickly, others to hunt exotic beasts and monsters, a lot of those that joined being Demi-Humants, with a small number of Monsters, then a larger group of humans, a volatile mix but one you think won't explode. Only because the ones offering the job radiate power, with a Lumianti that glows purple failing to conceal their massive mana pool, as even the little leaking out is greater than most archmages have at their peaks showing a terrifying power. Then a Goblin in sailor's clothes with a gold bracelet comes running in, with the purple Lumianti barking the order to depart in a Deep voice that sounds like thunder with how deep her voice is. A Beastling directed us to the water paths that had a slight glow, providing a solid footing despite the waves around us, the sight that unnerved some of the adventurers/mercenaries, as others treated it as no different to the dock crossing it with a steady step. All move towards the castle on the water, where large flowing towers of Bronze stretch up tall, as the castle is full of colors like a coral reef with wood sections being the foundation for corals growing upon it, with no sharp edges to be seen. Then the same theme continued inside, as many more Goblins, Aquatic Beastlings, and Lumianti were going about their business, with all of us being into a larger auditorium where the purple Lumianti stood on stage to speak. "Thank you all for coming, I am Kaivala and welcome to your home for the next five years, welcome to the Parasite and Cleaner Agency, or P.A.C.A, as most call it when not in meetings," said Kaivala the purple Lumianti, as a massive set of doors opposite the doors they came in, opens to a male goblin Boss, decked head to toe in armor and weapons made of Bone and Scale. "Welcome now as we are in a bit of a rush, I will be bringing you to the area where you will train for the task ahead" Everyone that joined started talking for a bit as they got up, questioning the pay if they were just cleaners. But as they passed out the other set of doors into massive halls fit for Titans, with massive Beastlings and Lumianti walking through into Titanic doors, as they walked along a small walkway fit for them, they arrived in the area after 20 minutes, where they see Ticks that size of Elephant, Mites that size of horses, and Tapeworms that size of Redwood trees. Next, they were put into a fighting pit, where they battled the parasites in a more controlled manner, where they experienced a brutal hell over the next 8 hours of training and fighting the parasites. They only managed to kill 15 mites, 6 ticks, and 1 tapeworm, during that time, as all were exhausted few were able to even move, with beastlings picking them off and carrying them all into their rooms, I got a room with a window, letting me see that castle was moving underwater, and a titanic leg moving past, one that looked like a crab leg, which explained how the castle moved, but also brought forth the rest of their job, for they will be battling these parasites within these titanic beings or cleaning them. A Task that will test their skills, minds, and bodies to their limits, if the first fights were any indication of what's to come, but it will be a great way to grow stronger and earn a lot of money at the same time. However, I doubted my strength, when they took up on a cleaning run with a bunch of Goblins, all wearing bracelets that allowed them to breathe underwater, where we fought in between some plates of the Crabs Exoskeleton a harrowing fight where many of us were almost thrown off, only saved by the goblins, with the next few weeks being much of the same, where our first real missions would start upon the Island coming into view.
