This is a guide to help less experienced players on questing, rebirth, and group leveling on the Ragna/v/ 3 server. # Navigating Quests On the wiki pages, the map names and coordinates are usually a link you can click to copy the `/navi` coordinates onto your clipboard. Paste this in chat in game for navigation assistance. Example: `/navi prt_castle 83/67` This will put arrows on the ground that tell you where to go. For some reason, on this server/client, it only works in similar regions. If you're more than one map away or in some cases not on the same map at all, it fails. Just try again when you get on the map it navigates you to. # Quests Quest | Description ------ | ------ https://irowiki.org/wiki/Quests | All quests https://irowiki.org/wiki/Access_Quests | All access quests https://irowiki.org/wiki/Quest_Table | Quest table so you can sort by experience # Recommended Quests This is not every quest and is not intended to be. It's the most common and popular ones for rebirth/leveling/zeny. These are not listed in the order you should do them. This section is for an overview and easy access. The rebirth section explains how to get the most out of these. Quest | Description ------ | ------ https://irowiki.org/wiki/Eye_of_Hellion_Quest | [Nile Rose](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=2647&small=1&back=1) accessory https://irowiki.org/wiki/Onward_to_the_New_World_Quest | Access to the new world https://irowiki.org/wiki/Cat_Hand_Services | Unlock storage and warps in new world. Do the `Guide` section up to step 5 to unlock saving there. You can keep farming fish/minerals to unlock the other stuff. It's REALLY tedious though, so it's up to you if you think it's worth it. Grinding 20 credits for storage is nice. They do offer a bunch of useful warps like Juno/Einbroch/Lighthalzen and another standard warp so you can leave the new world easily. https://irowiki.org/wiki/Rachel_Sanctuary_Quest | Access to [Rachel Sanctuary Dungeon](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=areainfo&area=1033) https://irowiki.org/wiki/Curse_of_Gaebolg_(Founding_of_the_Nation_Myth_Quest) | Experience and prereq https://irowiki.org/wiki/Veins_Siblings_Quest | Experience and prereq https://irowiki.org/wiki/Lost_Child_Quest | Experience and prereq https://irowiki.org/wiki/Nameless_Island_Entrance_Quest | Access to [Nameless Island](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=areainfo&area=1035) https://irowiki.org/wiki/Language_Quest | Experience and prereq https://irowiki.org/wiki/Ore_Downgrading | Break down ores (great natures to green lives) to sell them for more when farming [Sleepers](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1386&small=1&back=1) (note: tedious) https://irowiki.org/wiki/Meat_Exchange | Exchange [Meat](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=517&small=1&back=1) for [Jellopies](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=909&small=1&back=1). Useful for the new world quest so you don't have to farm 300 Jellopies since a NPC sells meat. https://irowiki.org/wiki/Finding_The_Moving_Island_Quest | Entrance quest to Moscovia dungeon which is a place players use to farm zeny. The quest mats are a bit tedious to farm for this. [Mavkas](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1884&small=1&back=1) are really good zeny, but the entire place is a little overrated unless you have a well geared character with properly carded+endowed weapons that can melt everything fast. [Mavka](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1884&small=1&back=1) spawn gets bad if there are more than 1-2 players there since they don't instantly respawn. Don't ignore the [Baba Yagas](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1882&small=1&back=1) here since their [Piece of Cake](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=539&small=1&back=1) drop is also really good zeny. # Rebirth Rebirth costs 1,285,000 zeny. You need zero weight and zero zeny on you for it to work. Put every item that weighs something including costumes and arrows in storage. Put the zeny after rebirth cost in your bank using Ctrl+B. Unmount your peco and remove your falcon if you have one. Follow the [https://irowiki.org/wiki/Rebirth_Walkthrough](rebirth quest) when you're ready. When you rebirth, you start over as a level 1/1 novice. You can quickly level up to 60-70+ by turning in some quests. While it may be tempting to turn these in before rebirth to access certain dungeons earlier, I highly recommend you wait unless you're really experienced with the game. You will level up the normal way by killing mobs until job 10. You can go [one south of Payon](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=pay_fild01&s_block=mob_block&small=1) to kill some [Spores](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1014&small=1&back=1) for some quick job experience. I recommend having some twink newb weapon to make it easier. Since resets are dirt cheap, I'd pump DEX to 10, STR to 10, DEX to 20 or until you have 100% hit, then pump STR. This really doesn't matter much as job 10 won't take you long at all. If you care about the 5k stat reset price, go ahead and pump your main stats only. Your first job change to high job will be at the original npc you used. Once you've changed to your first job, turn in the quests and you'll get a bunch of base and job levels. Keep turning in quests and going to job 50 as needed. Your second job change will be at the valkyrie who rebirthed you in the first place. Most of these quests are part of the [Nameless Isle](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=areainfo&area=1035) access quest chain. It's quite a long quest chain. You're going to end up doing these quests anyway as this is one of the best dungeons in the game. 1. Do [https://irowiki.org/wiki/Onward_to_the_New_World_Quest](Onward to the New World) and stop at step 5 where you turn it in for experience. This is a decent chunk of experience for little effort. You can do the language quest and meat exchange so you can buy meat from the NPC and trade them for Jellopies instead of farming 300 Jellopies if you want. 2. Do through step 5 of https://irowiki.org/wiki/Rachel_Sanctuary_Quest. This will allow you to start https://irowiki.org/wiki/Lost_Child_Quest. 3. Do https://irowiki.org/wiki/Lost_Child_Quest until step 13. **DO NOT GO PAST THIS AND TURN IT IN! THIS IS YOUR FIRST BIG CHUNK OF EXPERIENCE!** 4. Do https://irowiki.org/wiki/Curse_of_Gaebolg_(Founding_of_the_Nation_Myth_Quest). **CAREFUL ON STEP 15! THERE IS A FAIL CONDITION! READ IT CAREFULLY AND DON'T FUCK UP OR GET BRICKED CAUSE WE'RE RETARDS PLAYING THIS RETARDED GAME!** You want step 15 option A for the best path so you don't fail it. Do step 15 after rebirth! 5. https://irowiki.org/wiki/Eye_of_Hellion_Quest. You don't REALLY need to do this one. It's there if you want even more experience and/or the [Nile Rose](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=2647&small=1&back=1) accessory. Do this AFTER rebirth. The quest has items with weight that you can't get rid of. 6. After rebirth, turn everything in and get to 60-70+ base level and a bit into your second job levels. Now, you can grind experience as you wish and continue to finish the rest of the Rachel/Nameless Isle quest chain. # Party Compositions A good party has your typical tank/healer/dps. A well armored knight or crusader with the proper cards is always needed. Assassins can make for good main tanks if you're only fighting 1-3 mobs at once. They're great at offtanking. They can dish out some really good damage while doing this as well. Steel Body Monks are good in some scenarios, and sometimes even mandatory for a few niche things, but the con is they don't hold aggro well. You always need a priest. They are incredibly strong. Strong heals to keep you alive, buffs to make you stronger and protect you, and so on. Assumptio is ridiculously powerful on a high priest as it straight up gives you 50% damage reduction. I recommend 1 priest per 4-6 players depending on how good the priest is. Other supports include bards/dancers. Bards have a skill called Bragi which reduces cast speed and after cast delay. Every class benefits from this, so every party wants one. Dancers are still good and a nice addition to the party, but they're not as good here. Their SP song is somewhat useless since regen was buffed so hard here. Their exp song was removed. They still have several other good songs. Then there is soul linker which can enable certain powers on other players. Your DPS can be anything that outputs good damage! Don't worry about your party composition too much as long as you have the core and at least 1-2 good DPS. This is a solved game and it's not that difficult. The only time it's going to matter is for more difficult/later episode MVP bosses. The nice thing about having a 12 party limit is the basic meta compositions usually only take up 3-4 slots. Once you have that, just have fun. # Group Leveling The best experience in the game is in groups at the following places, ordered from best to worse. There may be other places as well. Remember, it's all about exp/hr, kill rate, and difficulty. You may look at mobs and see lower experience values, but how fast you can kill something and how good the spawn is makes certain places really good. Dungeon | Strategy ------ | ------ [Nameless Isle 3F Necromancers](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=abbey03&s_block=mob_block&small=1) | This is my favorite dungeon. It's potentially the best experience in the game due to the density of [Necromancers](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1870&small=1&back=1) and how easily they die. Thors/Bio can possibly compete, but only if you have a very well geared party setup. The typical strategy is to have a Devotion Paladin protect your squishies. A High Wizard with Storm Gust+Bragi will blow up [Necromancers](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1870&small=1&back=1). A few priests with Turn Undead can nuke them down fast. If you have a Storm Gust High Wizard with Recognized Spell, you don't need to waste your time using Turn Undead. You'll want a Bard/Clown with Bragi and some other DPS to deal with the other mobs if you don't have a wizard. With their really high spawn rate and insane experience, you can get the entire server to 99/70 pretty quickly. You will want [Bathory Carded Armor](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=4119&small=1&back=1) for as many players in your party as possible and the tank at the very least. A [Teddy Bear Carded Shield](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=4340&small=1&back=1) also helps a lot, but isn't mandatory. [Assumptio](https://ratemyserver.net/skill_db.php?skid=361&small=1&back=1) is also a huge help. The only thing you have to be careful of is the MVP boss [Beelzebub](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1873&small=1&back=1) as it will wipe your party. [Thors Volcano Dungeon 3F](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=thor_v03&s_block=mob_block&small=1) | You'll need a really well geared group to do this one. Fire armor is mandatory for everyone. Maybe tied with Bio Labs 3F? [Bio Labs 3F](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=npc_shop_warp&map=lhz_dun03) | This requires a pretty good party of experienced players. Maybe tied with Thors 3F? If your group can kill everything quickly with no downtime, it's the best experience in the game. That's not too common on a smaller server. [Nameless Isle 1F](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=abbey01&s_block=mob_block&small=1) | If your group can't handle 3F, you can live here forever. The amount of mobs and nice drops here make it incredibly fun. Take some priests with Magnus Exorcismus and blow up huge packs with it. A Storm Gust wizard also destroys everything here. [2F](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=abbey02&s_block=mob_block&small=1) is also an option, but there are [Necromancers](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1870&small=1&back=1) there. It's a good introduction to them to see if you can handle them. [Manuk Field 2](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=man_fild02&s_block=mob_block&small=1) or [Manuk Field 3](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=man_fild03&s_block=mob_block&small=1) if you want to change it up | These mobs are a bit basic and boring, but they have really high experience and aren't hard to kill. Meteor Storm+Recognized Spell+Bragi obliterates everything here if you have someone who can group up the mobs. [Odin Temple 3F](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=odin_tem03&s_block=mob_block&small=1) | I'm not as crazy about this one. It's really good base experience. It offers absolutely no job experience. It's great for getting to level 99 pretrans after you've already reached job 50. It's not that great after rebirth as your job levels are going to suffer. I wouldn't go here unless you haven't rebirthed yet. It has pretty good drops, so go if you want a chance at a [Valkyrja's Shield](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=2115&small=1&back=1) or [Odin's Blessing](https://ratemyserver.net/item_db.php?item_id=2353&small=1&back=1). [Ice Cave 3F](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=ice_dun03&s_block=mob_block&small=1) | If you have a wizard in your group that can 1 shot [Ice Titans](https://ratemyserver.net/mob_db.php?mob_id=1777&small=1&back=1) with Jupitel Thunder or Lord of Vermillion, this place is quite good. I wouldn't bother if you don't have a wizard+bard, as you lose a lot of efficiency here without. With that said, it's still good for lower levels and more accessible than the others, so go if you want! [Glast Heim](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=areainfo&area=1011) | A blast from the past. While it got power crept out hard and is much more of an old school place, this is still incredibly fun, good experience, and has good drops. It might be the most well designed dungeon ever added to RO. Get your raydric cards here! The maps you're looking at to group in are gl_cas02, gl_knt01/gl_knt02, and gl_dun02. gl_dun02 has worthless drops, but it's good experience when everyone is earlier levels / before rebirth. ## Bait Group Leveling If someone is inviting you to one of these, they probably want bodies to fill it up just so they can get help to farm drops they want. Avoid. 1. [Juperos Core](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=jupe_core&s_block=mob_block&small=1) - DO NOT EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU NEED DROPS HERE! The experience is absolutely atrocious. This place is only good for assassins to mob+grim tooth on the lower floors. 2. [Thanatos Tower](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=areainfo&area=1013&re_mob=0) - Not as bad as Juperos, but only go here if you need the drops. # Nameless Isle Questing https://irowiki.org/wiki/Veins_Siblings_Quest can be a huge pain. It seems the RNG mat turn in portion isn't a thing on this server, so you only need one set of the mats. However, you still need to get through thors dungeon 3 times! Unless you have an incredibly good party to walk it with you, you're going to have to Teleport/Fly Wing until you land close enough on the warp to survive. Things like a pasana carded armor may allow you to survive at least one hit. As soon as something casts a spell such as Fireball on you, teleport immediately so you don't take damage. It's not as bad as it sounds, it just needs a little luck. Farm [Goats](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=mob_db&mob_id=1372) on [this map](https://ratemyserver.net/npc_shop_warp.php?map=ein_fild06&s_block=mob_block&small=1) for the [Green Herbs](https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=item_db&item_id=511) you need. You should only need 100. # New World ## Leaving New World Talk to the guard at the entrance to exit. Enjoy walking around this entire loop again without being able to teleport around. Go to the west side of the map. Talk to the guard in front and answer the second option twice. He'll send you back to Morroc. If you've unlocked the warp services with credits, you can simply warp out. ## Going to New World After you've done the quest, talk to the guard in front on the east side of the map. He'll send you back to the trial map. Enjoy walking around this entire loop again without being able to teleport around.
