#Oh, It's Been One Insane Faggot This Entire Time There has been an individual who has visibly been sabotaging drawthreads for over a month by appropriating requests made by others and reposting them in a botted loop each drawthread. **He is also botting thread bumps that get deleted, meaning that even if nobody is present posting there, the thread will never reach bump limit nor fall off the board.** https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82252200 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S81818511 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S81653152 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S81464204 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S80981254 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S80754894 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S80566507 https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S80406553 Notice: >##The very first request in every single one of these threads is identical. >Each thread, within the first 20 minutes or so, the same exact handful of requests get posted right as the thread is posted, slightly shuffled in their order. >These requests are posted in pairs, no more than 10 seconds apart from each other, but not at exactly the same time. UPDATE: As of the thread posted directly after our attempt to shuffle things up(https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S83169880), he is now adjusting the interval in reaction to this rentry, and the order of reposted requests has been shuffled. >Frequently, when the requests are paired, the next pair will be posted just slightly over one minute later, but never exactly. >This pattern continues in intermittent bursts of spammed requests throughout the thread, not constantly, and slows down as the thread continues. >Many requests that do not fit within this pattern get accused of spamming, samefagging, or generally are just trolled. However, rarely do any of the requests within this pattern receive the same scrutiny. >occasionally, one or both of the posts in this pattern will instead be a threadshitting reply, often in a chain that endlessly replies back to an original request not in the bot loop or a delivery. Likely to annoy the shit out of somebody unrelated. This pattern is not exclusive to /vt/ drawthread either: it can also be observed on drawthreads in /v/. https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/685432183/#685432183 https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/685295823/#685295823 https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/685076454/#685076454 https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/684878879/#684878879 https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/684664418/#684664418 https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/684461868/#684461868 Considering how quickly after the thread is made that the exact same requests are posted, no matter the time of day, it is evident that the threads are being botted. Despite the overwhelming evidence that the spam and the trolling are from the same person nearly every single time, their posts rarely get deleted. Even when a post of theirs is deleted, they continue posting unhindered, suggesting that they are either not getting banned, or are ban evading. Then, on August 15, something happened. First, the spammer created a new thread with no subject at 05:58:12 PST: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82967409 Note: this was before the previous thread had hit bump limit. Once it had, a regular, human person went and created an actual, human-made thread in the catalog at 06:25:29 PST: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82968341 And linked it in the previous thread here at 06:27:52 PST: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82904356#p82968425 To which the spammer then linked his previous thread in a reply for the first time at 06:50:59: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82904356#p82969212 At this time, before the thread had even been linked in the previous one, and without a subject, the thead had received 33 REPLIES. The spammer went into the real, human-made thread and proceeded to sperg out all over the thread, hurling accusations of spamming, samefagging, etc everywhere. Meanwhile, the spam thread mysteriously kept getting requests made, with practically zero discussion occurring. Out of desperation, he made a catalog thread using the one delivery that got made in the real thread to attract janitors' attention: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S82976838 Who then ignored all spam made in the botted thread, and instead deleted the non-botted thread. This is a response to that: another, better thread with much more human input in its format and creation. There are several goals in mind with this, but one in particular: to prevent the thread from being botted. He will likely resort to every single tactic possible to cast doubt on this entire thing, including an absurd amount of replying to himself, reposting requests that have already been fulfilled, reposting deliveries from old threads, and whatever else you can possibly imagine. Do not fall for any of them, and report for off-topic, spam, trolling, what have you. And if you see anyone "falling for it", do not acknowledge them either. Timestamps cannot be relied on. Report without a word. Remember what we have learned: https://warosu.org/vt/thread/2500332#p2501590 There are people who really are just that batshit insane.
