#WIP: 鬼ごっこ // https://desuarchive.org/tg/post/93801140  --- //>1. Intro scene, Smokin' receives the job. I kind of want it to end on some super cliché "assemble a team" trope line. Like "you only have one intern, though, you'll need more" "don't worry, I know someone". It might be just my brain getting sleep talking. //I like cliché's, so I'm here with you. In a room filled with tobacco smoke heavy like a fog, two men sit on opposite sides of a table. Near the doors, a man hiding his handsome looks beneath dishevelled hair and a messy outfit. Under the small window, half-covered with broken blinds, an exhausted man in a suit. The latter drops a thin file in front of the former. "That's all we know, really." "Doesn't seem like much. Can't blame them for not taking it seriously." "They also complained about the source, but I trust the kid, and it's better to be safe than sorry." Both take another drag off their cigarettes and in sync flick some ash into a jar next to the documents. "So, why me?" "You're little known, but reliable. It took us days to convince them to agree to some Hero protection. Their condition was that it will be someone that wouldn't disturb the fair." "I'm not the only underground hero you know. So, again, why me?" "Well... it's the second condition... They don't want the Heroes to be just patrolling. They think it could scare off the guests. They want you to run a stand. And since you technically run a sword school, I thought you could give lessons or something..." Sugiyama pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Anything else I should know about?" "They'd like you in costumes." "I thought they wanted us incognito?" "No, not your hero costumes. Period costumes. But don't worry about that, we can provide those." The squinted eyes, underlined with purplish marks of not getting enough rest, met through the thick gray clouds between them. The staredown lasted a few seconds until finally the Hero threw his hands up. "Fine, but you'll really owe me for this one. Who am I working with?" "Well, the budget for this operation is... 'limited'. But don't worry, we don't expect you to deal with all of it alone. You have interns, right? I heard this year's batch is really talented, so a couple of them should be enough." "One." "What?" "I have only one intern." "Oh... Could you maybe borrow a few from other agencies?" "I think I know some that could fit..." --- //>2. Maybe a scene from the Villains' perspective, to sort of introduce them? //Hmm... I say we start without it and write this later if we still like the idea. We could also play with the idea of putting this as the intro, and could use it to explain how the villain's plans leaked. --- //>3. The slice of life scene from the event, ends interrupted by the villains attacking //Sounds about right, yeah. --- >4-X some scenes about fighting the villains/chasing them/trying to stop them from getting the target etc. One of those could be the drama scenes, probably the main one //Also sounds about right, yeah. --- //>X+1 final capture //>X+2 wrap-up including the mention of them getting hired after, could be right after X+1, or maybe like "a week later" debrief or something //The usual tying up loose ends part, yeah.
