In the end, they failed in their quest because of old age and looked everywhere for a student (finding the perfect one in Amegakure) to inherit their legacy in hopes that he would succeed in obtaining the ultimate body in their stead. The day before their death, they used up all their accumulated resources to sculpt their student's body into the Divine Statue Body (this is where the Enhanced Body comes from), which embodies the shinobi's vision, being biologically immortal and having very high defense (with the side effect of making the person look like a literal statue of a super buff adult man regardless of their actual age). Eiken did not inherit his teacher's pursuit of the ultimate body. Instead, seeing someone at the top of the world slowly die, he was made aware of his mortality and true immortality became his lifelong goal. The shinobi knew of their disciple's thoughts but didn't try to change his mind because they think that he must have an ultimate body to achieve that goal, so it made no difference to them if he pursued true immortality or the ultimate body. The biological immortality has attracted the attention of %blue%[insert Character]%% who wants to capture and dissect him. Eiken doesn't know this, but he does know that many people want biological immortality, so he wouldn't be surprised at an attempted capture. >Personality: He spent most of his life with his stoic and taciturn teacher and most of his time was spent training, talking very little with others, so he's very socially inexperienced, though he feels no anxiety about it. Unlike his teacher, he acts upbeat and is very emotive, not bothering to hide (most of) his thoughts at all, though only in peaceful situations as he becomes stoic and taciturn like his teacher when in combat. He loves training and fighting; maybe he likes other things too, but he's never done anything else. He's very nice and tries his best to help, but only when his dream isn't involved. Everything is secondary to his dream; he won't hesitate to destroy anything, even lovers and best friends, blocking his way to true immortality. He knows his limits and the benefits of cooperation, so he hides this side of himself, keeps a good reputation, and won't do anything bad to Konohagakure !>unless there's enough benefits to be gained like an opportunity to obtain a Legendary Artifact and he thinks he can get away with the crime... He has never told anyone of his dream and only his late teacher, the one closest to him, knew about it by inference, so everyone assumes that he has the same dream as his teacher since he seems as obsessed with Taijutsu as his teacher. In reality, it isn't that he wants to only focus on Taijutsu, but that he has no choice but to do so: he is only talented in Taijutsu and not much else. >Combat: Only taking into account his default state with his Divine Statue Body, no enhancements like Chakra Mode, he has very high defense, high strength, endurance, and weight (density), but merely above average speed. He ignores most attacks by virtue of his defense, only moving to protect exposed vitals like eyes and ear holes. Against melee opponents, he straightforwardly fights ones with similar speed, but against ones with noticeably higher speed than him, he focuses on defending and waits for opportunities for an decisive attack as he knows that anyone so fast must have low defense, so only one direct hit would be needed to severely injure them. Against ranged opponents, no matter if they're slower or faster than him, he charges at them while throwing rocks, playing the endurance game if they're faster. With Chakra Flow, Improvisation Art, and immense strength, the thrown rocks are not to be underestimated.
